EZTitles offers instantaneous translation between more than 150 different languages including Arabic, Hebrew, Hindi, all European and all East-Asian (Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Indonesian, etc) languages through selected AI-powered translation engines: DeepL and Google Translate.
There is no need for third-party applications, as translations are handled directly within EZTitles. Original text's structure - such as subtitle and line breaks, dialogue continuity and sound effects - along with its position, alignment, italics, colors and all other formatting styles is preserved.
Both DeepL and Google Translate deliver accurate and high-quality translations, provided the source text is free from grammar and spelling errors and is segmented following the best practices, but there are notable differences between the two:
▪Language Support: DeepL supports a smaller range of languages, covering all European languages as well as Chinese, Korean, Indonesian, and Japanese. In contrast, Google Translate supports nearly 200 languages.
▪Formality and Glossary Options: DeepL offers advanced features like formality settings and customizable glossaries, but these are only available for certain language pairs.
▪Formatting and Billing: You may notice a discrepancy between the number of characters available for translation and the number of characters billed. This is due to the inclusion of formatting tags and parameters, which are necessary to preserve the original text’s structure, position, and formatting.
DeepL is more efficient in this regard compared to Google Translate. Consequently, translations performed with Google Translate often result in a higher count of translated and billed characters—sometimes up to 30% more.

Start Translation
Well, the first step is always to open a project in the original language and refine the text and subtitles by correcting any spelling or grammar mistakes. This ensures the highest quality translation results.
After that simply navigate to Subtitling Assistant/Translate and add Wallet with enough characters in it:
Then, select your Translation Engine—currently, DeepL or Google Translate. Additional engines may be added in the future. Choose the Source Language for the loaded subtitles and the Target Language for the translation. If using DeepL, you can adjust the Formality setting to control whether the translation is more formal or informal; this option is only available for specific target languages. Additionally, you can select a pre-existing glossary from the Glossary drop-down menu.
The translation will be generated into a separate subtitle track, so ensure you assign an appropriate name to it.
Finally, at the bottom of the dialog window, you’ll find detailed billing information, including your Wallet balance before starting the translation, the total number of characters to be billed, and the remaining balance after completing the translation.
