EZConvert could work with projects containing multiple, virtually unlimited number of tracks. Each track can have a different name, language and even individual reading speed and characters per line settings. All tracks are saved and loaded with our .ezt and .eztxml project files.
Multiple subtitle tracks can have a variety of applications:
▪a track dedicated to the dialogue list or the original script.
▪one or more tracks for second language translations.
▪a track for forced narratives.
▪a track for sound effects when delivering Closed Captions
▪a track for overlapping vertical text in Japanese subtitles.
▪last, but not least, individual files can be added to an existing project.
And so on, there might be tons of different applications for projects containing more than one track. All tracks will get conveniently saved to the project and will remain available for export as individual files if needed.
The number of tracks displayed/visible in the GUI is limited to any two tracks in the project. We will refer to the displayed tracks as Main and Second for simplicity. Main and Second tracks will be displayed in the GUI, next to each other.
Only the displayed/active tracks could be exported through the regular Export Subtitles menu. The remaining tracks can be exported one by one from the Manage Subtitle Tracks menu.
Every track could have different language, max. characters per line and reading speed settings specified. This can be extremely valuable when adding second language translation to your project and need all Quality Control checks to pass for both of them simultaneously. Tracks individual settings will be considered and applied when using Command Line or Watch Folder for conversions too.
